Homework 4

System test (100 points)

Each person has been assigned to a testing team. Each testing team tests one project. Each testing team can choose to turn in one test report, or to turn in individual test reports. If a team-based test report is chosen, the points will be equally divided between all members of the testing team.

The test team must execute all the test cases provided by the development team. It must also execute additional test cases that are different from the ones given by the development team. Each team must test and document at least 10 additional test cases per testing team member (i.e., 40 for a testing team of 4).

• A table listing all the test cases. This table has four columns: number of test case, succeeded (yes or no), severity of error if failed (A, B, C), detailed description of error if failed.
• A summary that describes what percentage of test cases succeeded, and what percentage there was in each severity category.
• A specification of each of the additional test cases, in the format used for Homework 3.
• Discussion of relevant nonfunctonal properties of the project.

The testing team that finds most bugs will win 50 points of extra credit. Note that testing teams should not consider test cases that are obviously not implemented yet; run only test cases that have been implemented.
