Instructions
  1. Map network drive to \\mcobwin\globalinsight.
    1. Make sure that your PC is connected to the BSU domain. If not, you may use VPN from home.
    2. Starting “File Explorer” from Window. Right-click on the Windows icon Click “File Explorer”.
    3. In “File Explorer” window, click “This PC” on the left panel.
    4. Click the “Computer” tab and click “Map network drive” and select “Map network drive”.
    5. In the folder field, type \\mcobin\globalinsight.
    6. Click “Finish”. Then you will see three files in this folder. The files are: “BasicA.xlsm”, “BasicM.xlsm”, and “BasicQ.xlm”.
  1. Open one of the three files and select the data series.
    1. “BasicA” contains annual data; “BasicM” contains monthly data; “BasicQ” contains quarterly data.
    2. Double-click on one of the three files to open the file in Excel.
    3. Click “Instructions” worksheet on the bottom.
    4. Read the instructions in this worksheet. It shows you how to search and select/deselect the series.
    5. Click “Index” worksheet to select or deselect the series by double-click the series.
    6. Click “Selections” worksheet. The selected series are in this worksheet.
    7. Copy the selected series in “Selections” worksheet to another worksheet that you want to store the data.
