This diversity of work is possible only because of the excellent technical staff at UCS and the excellent administrative support of multiple departments.

Typical Work

Daily database administrative tasks including backup/recovery, database design, troubleshooting and database administration.

Client/server, web and middleware database issues that frequently bridge UNIX, NT, and OS/390 [IBM Enterprise Server] platforms along with Sybase, Microsoft and IBM relational [and IBM non-relational] data sources.

I have been with Ball State since 1995 and participated in UCS's distributed database, client/server and dynamic web development since its inception.

Academics

Bachelor in Computer Science in May 1990.

Master in Information and Communication Science in May 2000.
