September 26, 2006: Nifty! Robo Battle Pigs: AI Challenge will be presented as a Nifty Assignment at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges, Midwest Chapter conference, September 29-30.

Introduction

Robo Battle Pigs (RBP) is a board game designed by Randy Cox, and it was a finalist in the 2001 8x8 Board Game Design Competition. For more information on Robo Battle Pigs, please refer to the Robo Battle Pigs web page.

Briefly, RBP is played on an eight-by-eight grid, and each player controls one Robo Battle Pig. Each round, players "program" commands into their pigs, five at a time, and the pigs run through the command list as best they can. In the AI Challenge, players write programs that program their pigs. Visit the downloads page to download the RBP AI Challenge Java client.
