  • Students will be motivated to learn more about history and the Civil War.
  • The students will be able to evaluate each model to discover what works best.

FEEDBACK:
Verbally discuss the models that were made and relate them to real life situations during the Civil War.  The teacher will display the finished models in a school display case.  There will also be a bulletin board created by the class dealing with the Civil War.

CHALLENGE:  After listening to the story, Pink and Say, students will be given a set of materials to create a mode of transportation for a wounded soldier to be carried off of the field.  The design must be able to carry  a miniature figure, which represents a soldier.  Each team will evaluate all of the models to decide which model works best.
