                    K'nex Toys Lesson
Objective:
The students will be able to participate in constructing their own K'nex projects, which will exhibit at least two of the properties of gravity, kinetic motion, and centriphical force.

Procedure:
1.  Begin the lesson by asking the students if they know what gravity, kinetic motion, and centriphical force is.
2.  Briefly discuss these terms with them to help support or build their Physics background prior knowledge.
3.  Next show them a couple example projects that exhibit the three properties.  Either build a couple real examples for
them to view, or let them look through the K'nex book that gives step by step instruction on how to build different structures.
4.  Now it is time to let them open  their boxes of K'nex toys at their desks, and begin exploring with the different structures that they can construct.
5.  The students will be given approximately 40 minutes to come up with a plan for the project exhibiting at least two of the properties, and then build it
6.  During the last few minutes of class, everyone will explain and demonstrate how their structure works and the properties that it exhibits to the rest of the class.
7.  Lastly if you would like to take a picture of the students projects, do so while they are sharing their structures properties which they exhibit to the other classmates.
8.  CLEAN-UP  & PUT AWAY TIME--Make sure that all students take apart their projects and replace all of the pieces in the correct place in the boxes.

Evaluation:
The evaluation of this lesson will be counted on how well they met the objective and if they all participated.  To recieve an A they must participate, stay on task, and exhibit at least two of the three properties.  If only one property is exhibited they will receive a B or C, and if no properties are shown, but they participated in the lesson then they will receive a C or D.

Materials:
1.  K'nex building/constructing toys

2.  Paper and pencils

3.  Photography camera (optional)

The Science/Physics concepts being met in this lesson are:
            1.  GRAVITY
            2.  KINETIC MOTION
            3.  CENTRIPHICAL FORCE
