There are 15 lab assignments. Each lab assignment is worth 50 points.
Regular attendance is expected. 10% (one letter grade) of each lab assignment is based on attendance. (5 points) Each lab requires some type of task to be completed within the hour. At the end of lab, turn in the materials to lab instructor as instructed by the lab handout. NO hand-in, NO credit.
Lab assignments are due at the BEGINNING of the next lab session. Assignments turned in after the class begins are considered late. Do not come to class expecting to print your assignment, have it prepared before class.
Late assignments earn 70% of their original value. Late assignments will only be accepted within a two day grace period after the lab meeting. For example, if your lab meets Wednesday at 2:00 pm, your assignment must be turned in by Friday at 5:00 pm at RB 455. Assignments are not accepted at all after the two day grace period.
All lab instructors have a mail box in RB 455. Lab assignments may be left here for your instructor.
Keep a folder of all graded paper materials and a copy of your assignments on your class zip disk. Never delete a project either completed in lab or outside of lab until the semester is completely over.
Cheating will not be tolerated. Cheating includes copying someone else's file and turning it in as your own, and working too closely together on the same assignment. Don't cheat. Working on your own assignment is your way to learn the required skill.
Game playing, answering email or surfing (unless this is part of the lab assignment) is not allowed during lab instruction. You may be asked to leave the lab, forfeiting your lab attendance points.
