Assignment 3: Website and Use Cases

Due date: Thursday 9/13

Part I (team-based)

1) (20 points) Each team uses the course wiki to create a page about itself at the appropriate location. The page has links to all the team members' individual pages, gives the name of the team, and a description of the project. The name of the client partner is also given; if the client partner has a Web site, it needs to be linked.

There needs to be a page for status reports; as of now, it contains at least the current week's status report.

Optionally, the team may also publish a picture of itself, and any other information that may be useful. Later on, the wiki will also contain the milestone reports.

Part II (individual)

2) (20 points) Each person creates an account for the course wiki, and a user page (located at [[user:username]]). The user page states the team to which you belong; it optionally contains other information about yourself and your role in the team.

3) (60 points) Brainstorm and find 10 possible use cases for your project. Write down only the title for each. Keep in mind that a use case needs to fulfill a need for a user; however, a user does not need to be a person, it can also be another piece of software. Pick one of the use cases from above and describe it fully. Include at least seven steps in the main success scenario and at least five variations. State the primary actor and all stakeholders.
